Magnetic Poetry Contest
April is National Poetry Month. To celebrate, Harrisburg High School will sponsor a magnetic poetry contest in three categories: long form, short form, and random/funny. Anyone can participate by visiting Dr. D.’s room at the high school and using ONLY the magnets available on the whiteboard to create your own poem. You may enter one poem in each category.
The deadline for the contest is Friday, April 13, 2018.
Winning entries – two in each category – will be read at an assembly at the high school later this month and prizes for all will be awarded. Rules, examples, and a rubric are posted on the bulletin board outside Dr. D’s room.
Unleash your creative spirit and inspire others with your (magnetic) words. Please join us in our celebration of National Poetry Month by entering the magnetic poetry contest.
Don’t forget: turn in your poems by Friday, April 13, 2018. All are welcome!
