Student Spotlight – Derek Howard

Derek Howard working

Senior Derek Howard has been a highly successful student throughout his K-12 school career.  As the school district has had significant issues with not only designing a new website but also with recovering from a website compromise, Derek has been instrumental in rebuilding the damaged website as well as training school staff  to maintain the new and improved site. As a student, Derek challenges his teachers and classmates with provocative questions and conversations.  He has excelled at state-wide testing every year always scoring in the Advanced scoring categories.  We are all looking forward to watching Derek as he journeys down his post-high school path.  I asked Derek to provide me with a few specific biographical details so I could create a short article highlighting his success.  Derek responded by writing a short autobiography that is better than anything I could create for him.  Click here to enjoy Derek Howard’s autobiography.  Derek is an exemplary student who makes us tremendously proud!
