TEACHER FEATURE TUESDAY: Today’s featured teacher is Mrs. Emily Furlong. Mrs. Furlong joined our teaching team this year as a Parents as Teachers Parent Educator. Emily came to our district with a wealth of experience as a school social worker in the St. Clair School District, Children’s Service Worker for the Department of Social Services, and extensive volunteer work with Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Columbia. “Emily has been a great addition to our PAT program! She comes with a wealth of knowledge from working in the social work field and also hands on experience with her own preschool age kiddo.” - Dana Byrd, Parents as Teacher Coordinator “Our Parents As Teachers Program often provides the first contact for the district with many of our families. As a parent that has had kids in the PAT program I can say our parent educators most definitely go above and beyond to put families in touch with resources, provide information about developmental milestones as well as provide peace of mind in regards to different obstacles of being a parent." - Gabe Burris, Elementary Principal Thank you, Mrs. Furlong, for the many ways you support our youngest Bulldogs and their families. #BulldawgPride
